One Good Turn @ Bristol Cycle Festival

vehicle for revolution.jpg

We've got a special evening only event on the 20th September for Bristol Cycle Festival. It's a great way to find out what One Good Turn is all about, and have a great evening of cycling and volunteering.

Meet at the back Bristol Temple Meads station at 6pm and then we'll head out along the cycle path, through Easton and Eastville Park to Feed Bristol in the north of the city. We'll be working with the team their to get our hands dirty and have a great look behind the scenes of what goes on at this amazing place. We'll be back by 9.

There are only 20 places so sign up for your ticket here:

What else do you need to know?

What should I wear?

Something that you’re comfortable to cycle in and doesn’t flap around too much, and that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty on the farm. Be prepared for wet and cold weather too.

What do I need to bring?

All you need is yourself, your bike, lights for your bike and maybe something to eat or drink. Please make sure your bike is in good working order before you come on the ride.

How far are we cycling?

It’s 4.5 miles each way, so a total of 9 miles. It’s not too hilly, but it’s gradually uphill on the way their and the way back.

Do I need to be an experienced cyclist?

You need to be able to cycle safely, but you definitely don’t need to be a pro. We’ll be riding as a group at the speed of the slowest cyclist, so no one will get left behind. The route is mostly traffic free with a couple of short on road sections.
